For well over a hundred years, the residents of Mount Pleasant have been making history. Every house, every shop, every park has a fascinating story to tell. Unfortunately far too many of these stories have been lost to the passage of time. For decades, HMP has been encouraging neighbors to unearth the past as a way to help foster greater appreciation for our shared history. We help members peel back the historic facades of their homes to uncover the rich stories that lay within. We provide practical advice to those hoping to mine Washington’s rich archival repositories; and we disseminate and publish the exciting discoveries our members have unearthed.
