Historic District

The Mount Pleasant Historic District is listed in both the National Register of Historic Places and the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites. You can download the 1985 Application for the Creation of the Mount Pleasant Historic District under D.C. Law 2-144 here. This map shows the boundaries of the historic district: 16th Street to the east, Harvard Street to the south, and Rock Creek Park to the west and north. The only part of the neighborhood that is not included in the historic district is the portion on 16th Street north of Oak Street.  See also, Mt Pleasant Architectural Legacy
